Kelly Thompson
Kelly is originally from Michigan but has lived in Florida for almost 30 years so considers herself a southerner. She originally received her undergraduate degree from Troy State University and thereafter worked as a paralegal for a number of years. In 2004, Kelly proudly graduated from the University of Florida with her Juris Doctorate. She owned her own practice in Marion County for over a decade, worked as a Certified Family Law mediator, and then moved exclusively to the area of personal injury in May 2023. She is very experienced with all aspects of civil procedure, discovery, depositions, mediations, and hearings in a wide variety of civil lawsuits. Kelly has personally handled over 100 trials.
Kelly has four wonderful children who keep her very active, and she is also involved in the community where she sits on the board of Project Hope and volunteers at her church, Blessed Trinity. Kelly also enjoys kayaking all over central Florida, spending time on the gulf (pretty much anywhere) and reading a good mystery. Kelly has also served as a member of the Florida Bar’s grievance committee for the past three years.
